New to SMU?
Catholic Campus Ministry at SMU is the place where the Catholic faith is lived and professed at SMU. We are a “home away from home” where the sacraments are celebrated, Scripture is read, the intellect is formed, Christian community is built , and the Gospel is lived out.
Becoming Catholic - OCIA
The Order of Christian Initiation (OCIA) at SMU is for students discerning fully-initiated membership in the Catholic Church. It is a journey which involves prayer, instruction, discernment, conversion, and, ultimately, a decision on the part of the individual to profess faith in Christ and His Church.
“The Catholic Center feels much more like a home than a center. If I need a place to study, socialize, eat and cook, or even take naps, I can always count on the Catholic Center. It really is my home away from home.”
– Mathieu Reyes ‘25
