FOCUS Team

Since the Fall of 2015, Catholic Campus Ministry at SMU has welcomed a dedicated team of FOCUS Missionaries each year.  FOCUS is a campus outreach that pursues college students with intentionality and love. Our missionaries invite students to grow in relationship with Jesus and the Catholic faith, inspire and equip them for a lifetime of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship and friendships in which they lead others to do the same.

For the 2020-2021 school year, we weclome Danna Knight (Team Director), Russell Pier, Nolan Hill, and Madison Lucas.

  I grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M where I studied Chemistry. The summer before my senior year my passion for bringing clean water to the world spiritualized into a passion for bringing the Living Water to the world so I became a missionary! My built in fun fact is that I am a triplet.

  I graduated from Texas A&M where I studied Computer Engineering. After a short career as a software developer, I became a FOCUS missionary in the summer of 2019. I love to cook, to read, to learn new things, and spending time with my big Catholic family. I am so excited to preach to the Gospel of Jesus to the students at SMU!

  I graduated from Louisiana State University, the great national champion. I studied exotic veterinary care and wildlife conversation before deciding to do missionary work. I'm trained in classical baile and have a black belt in martial arts.

  I was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. I recently graduated from Oklahoma State University in May of 2020. Go pokes! I'm excited to be serving the students at SMU. I enjoy the outdoors, especially rock climbing and hiking.
