Did you know that Catholics are the largest self-identified religious group on campus?
SMU Catholic Campus Ministry is thoroughly engaged in campus life and our community. With an 80+ year history on campus, we remain here to celebrate, support, and challenge you in your spiritual journey toward an adult faith. We encourage you to come by the Center or explore our website to see the many opportunities SMU Catholic has to offer!
Since 1932 SMU Catholic Campus Ministry has served SMU students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the local Catholic community. We provide an environment for fellowship, sacramental ministry, moral and ethical discovery, community service, spiritual enrichment, and leadership development. SMU Catholic is committed to being a profound presence on campus as inspired by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We strive to form servant leaders of SMU’s future “world changers” to live their Catholic faith professionally and personally.
Currently under the leadership of Fr. Arthur Unachukwu, SMU Catholic serves the largest religious denomination of students on campus with diverse programs designed to meet each student “where they are.” Ministries and programs include daily Mass (except Friday and Saturday), RCIA/Confirmation, Bible studies, Summer Mission Trip, Servant Leadership Council, community service, Awakening Retreat, discipleship, Sunday Supper, FYSH (first year small groups), COR (large group with music and a message) and Last Call (senior class fellowship and discussion). For many Catholic students, the Neuhoff Catholic Center is their “home away from home.”
